Regulatory and law enforcement authorities

New company owners

If we or our company merges with or is acquired by another group or company, we will share your personal information with the new owners of the company or group and their career counselors.  In such a case you will be notified accordingly.

How long we keep your data

The period for which we hold or store your personal data depends on the services we provide for you and how long you need them.  Because we often place candidates in jobs for many years and potentially throughout their careers, the purpose for which we retain candidate information is often a continuing one.  We regularly cleanse and update the data with our candidates to ensure that (a) the data we hold is accurate and (b) we do not hold data for too long.

Our terms and conditions require that our clients retain data relating to candidates, such as CVs, for the purposes of the particular position for which they are applying and that they, as the data controller, ensure that you are informed that the client is retaining your CV to inform you of potential future positions, or is otherwise retaining or using your data for other purposes.

Your rights in relation to the data we hold about you

You have certain rights in relation to the personal data we hold about you. Details of these rights and how to exercise them are explained below.  Before we can respond to your request, we require proof of your identity.

Right of access

You have the right to request a copy of the personal data held by us at any time.  If we have justified reasons and the DSGVO permits this, we may refuse your request concerning your personal data or certain elements of this request. If we refuse your request or part of it, we will inform you of our reasons for doing so.

Right to correction or completion

If personal information we hold about you is incorrect, out of date or incomplete, you have the right to have it corrected, updated or completed.  Please let us know by contacting us using one of the methods listed in the contact section below.

Right to cancellation

Under certain circumstances you are entitled to request the deletion of personal data we hold about you, for example if the data is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected or processed, or if the processing of the data is based on your consent and there are no other legal grounds on which we can process the data.

Right to object to or limit the processing

Under certain circumstances, you have the right to object to our processing of your personal data by notifying us using one of the methods indicated in the contact section below.  This may be the case, for example, if we process your data on the basis of our legitimate interests and there are no compelling legal reasons for our processing that take precedence over your rights and interests.  You also have the right to object to the use of your personal data for direct marketing purposes.

You also have the right, where appropriate, to limit our use of your personal data, for example, if you have questioned the accuracy of the data and during the period in which we verify its accuracy.

Right to data transferability

Under certain circumstances, you have a right to receive personal information that we hold about you in a structured, frequently used, machine-readable format.

You may require us to transfer such data to you or directly to a third party organisation.

The above right applies only in respect of personal data that:

  • you have previously provided us with, and
  • which are processed by us in automated form.

We are happy to comply with such requests, but cannot guarantee technical compatibility with the systems of a third-party organisation. Furthermore, we cannot respond to requests relating to personal data of third parties without the consent of these third parties.

You can exercise the above rights by contacting us using one of the methods indicated in the contact section below.

Most of the above rights are subject to restrictions and exceptions.  We will give reasons if we are unable to comply with requests to exercise your rights.

Insofar as we process your personal data on the basis of your consent, you have the right to revoke this consent at any time.  Please let us know by contacting us using the information in the contact section below.

We give you the opportunity to submit your resume through our website. Alternatively, you can simply submit your resume to one of our recruitment consultants. This will either allow you to apply for a specific job offer or you can submit your CV for review by our recruiters for future positions.

We will keep your resume in our database, which our recruiters can access.

Your CV may also be forwarded directly to other companies within our group of companies who will review it and add it to their database to provide services to you. You can withdraw your consent to have your data processed outside the EEA by completing your registration form with us.

You can update your CV at any time by following the same procedure to submit a new CV. Your old CV will then be automatically archived, provided that the submission details remain the same (for example, if you have submitted both CVs from the same e-mail address or have informed your contact person of your new submission).
